VERDICT

One of my favorite pressure side pool cleaners that I still use on a daily basis! It has lasted years in the pool 24/7 and has done an amazing job! The Polaris 360 and 280 are very similar and the difference really is if you have one pump or a separate booster pump connected to your suction line. The Polaris 360 uses the same pump as your pool. The Polaris 280 however, uses a dedicated booster pump. So make sure you pick the right one for your pool! Either way, both are great choices if you have a suction return line!

CONS:

  • Must cut hose size according to the size of your pool

  • No pool mapping technology

  • No wifi or app controls

  • plastic parts tend to break down within few years

VERDICT

This suction side cleaner is almost identical to the Polaris 360 but this 380 version requires a separate booster pump. With 3 Venturi Jets powering it this robot moves quickly up and down the walls, steps and floors of your pool. It also means that this cleaner is one of the most efficient cleaners on the market today requiring less RPMs to clean your pool. This is a wonderful cleaner for any pool with a suction line but even better for owners of variable speed pumps. Helps save money on electricity costs!

  • Must cut hose size according to the size of your pool

  • No pool mapping technology

  • No wifi or app controls

  • plastic parts tend to break down within few years

VERDICT

This MX6 works exceptionally well in all types of pools but shines in pools with variable speed pumps and/or solar. The reason is because it's energy efficient and requires less RPMs to power it to clean effectively. So you actually use less RPMs and save money on electricity! You will need to purchase a separate debris canister which isn't included but since this cleaner is so inexpensive it's actually still a really great value overall!

CONS:

  • Must cut hose size according to the size of your pool

  • Must adjust RPMs according to your pool pressure

  • No wifi or app controls

  • No debris bag or canister included
